Required Changes
Medicare Plus Blue / Medicare Advantage: Required changes for electronic billing. Report 2310D loop to report clinic name and address.
Status Claim Review Form: Updated the BCBSM Status Claim Review Form from version "CF 9172 Dec 05" to the updated version "CF 1362 Jan 07" - which includes NPI fields.
General Changes
Popup Screen Message: Added the ability to Edit or Delete the screen messages when they popup on the screen.
Patient Payment Descriptions: Changed patient payment descriptions from CASH, CHECK, CHARGE to CASH, CHECK, CREDITCARD.
Patient Menu - Registration
Multiple (field): Changed program to add multiple procedures starting on the current transaction line (rather than the next line down).
Patient Menu - Master File
Scanned Images (tab page): Added the following options
[Scan Card] - scan a patient's drivers license, credit card, etc…
[Import Image] - import an image from a digital camera. Example: take a picture of the patient, their x-rays, etc..
[Set as Patient Image] - If the currently displayed image is a picture of the patient, click on this button to display the patient's
picture next to their id number on all screens.
[Thumbnails] - displays all images as thumbnails from which you can select specific pictures to print, view or delete.
Msg Date (field): Date to start displaying the patient's screen message. Leave blank to always display the message.
Patient Menu - Claims
Scanned Images (tab page): Added the following options

Injury (field): Added popup calendar option.
Msg Date (field): Date to start displaying the patient's insurance posting message. Leave blank to always display the message.
Patient Menu - Insurance Headers
Inactive (field): Added new field. Checkmark this box if the patient's insurance policy is no longer active. When an insurance header is marked as inactive, the text of the insurance company key code will be displayed as gray (instead of black). When selected, the background color will be displayed as yellow (rather than aqua).
Policy Type (field): will be displayed in red if Medicare is secondary insurance and an MSP code was not selected.
Patient Menu - Transactions
Quick Statement (button): New option to print payment / credit authorization coupon (for patients to return with their payment) on statements.
Delete "ERROR" Transaction: Added the ability to delete "ERR" or "ERROR" transactions - if no payment has been posted yet. Highlight the transaction - Click the "X" on the toolbar. You can also <Right Click> on the transaction then choose "Delete". You must be on the high password to delete transactions.
Patient Menu - Exams
History of Symptoms (tab page): Added a free form area to type a patient's history of symptoms.
Comments (field): Changed the length of the comments field from 1000 to 6000.
Comments (tab page): Added the [Insert Exam.txt File] and [Edit Exam.txt File] buttons. Click on [Edit Exam.txt File] to enter text that is commonly used in the exam comments field. When you click on the [Insert Exam.txt File] button, the contents of this file will be inserted into the comments field.
Subjective Comments (field): Added a free form area to type subjective comments for the patient's visit.
Scanned Images (tab page): Added the ability to import images, scan images / documentation for each visit. Also added an option to print these images with your visit notes.
Print Patient's SSN (option): Added the option to exclude the patient's social security number from the exam printout.
Billing Menu - Insurance Billing
Transmit Billing / Get Response Files (button) - (BCBSM SFTP Only): If you want to download all electronic billing response files from BCBSM (including the ones that have previously been downloaded and reviewed), then <Right Click> on this button.
Pre Billing Worksheet (button): Added "Prov?" remark if the provider's tax id is missing. Added "NPI?" remark if the provider's NPI is missing.
Billing Menu - Statements
Print Return Receipt (field): New option to print payment / credit authorization coupon (for patients to return with their payment) on statements.
based on (field): New option to determine what the "Minimum Balance" field should be based on: the Patient balance, the Insurance balance, or Both the patient and insurance balances.
Billing Menu - Print Response Files
835 Response File: Provider Adjustments (in the "PLB" segment) will now be reported on 835 response file reports.
Reports Menu - Appointments
Session (field): Added option to Combine AM and PM reports together.
Reports Menu - Aging
Mail Codes (field): Added option to include/exclude patients with specific mail codes.
Display Date of Last (field): Added option to select to display the patient's last visit date or the date of the last statement sent to the patient.
Customize Menu - System Configuration
Return Receipt (field): New option to print payment / credit authorization coupon (for patients to return with their payment) on statements and statement style receipts.
Customize Menu - Exam Tests
Type (field): Added option to set the type of the exam test to "Objective", "Subjective", or "Chiropractic Care Plan".
Repeat Answer (per visit) (field): If you would like the patient's result for this test to be repeated on the next visit, check mark this field. If you would like this test to remain blank for each visit (so you can decide at the time of the visit whether or not it should be answered), leave this field un-checked.
